Around 1870, Julius Liedloff - owner of the surrounding woodland and the cotton mill - had this tower built as an amusement park. It was given the name "Goldene Höhe". However, the tower is popularly known as the Fuchsturm. Even the hiking trail to the Fuchsturm is beautifully made. There are many boards explaining the local flora and fauna to visitors. There are plenty of benches to relax on the approximately one-kilometer trail. Once you reach the tower, hikers can enjoy a view of the heights opposite and enjoy a picnic at the wooden tables and benches.
