From the rest and picnic area Eisenkehl, there is a beautiful view of the nearby Eisenkeil railway tunnel.
The Eisenkeil Tunnel is one of a total of twelve tunnels of the Palatine Ludwig Railway which is part of the Mannheim–Saarbrücken railway line and, at 65 meters, it is the shortest. Originally designed as single-track, the line was expanded to double-track a few years later. The distinctive south portal of the tunnel is listed as a historical monument.
