The secluded artificial body of water south of the Kahleberg, also known as the Alter or Schwarzer Teich, has been storing water from the headwaters of the Grosse Warmbach since the 16th century and in the past, it used to reinforce the water flow of this stream and the Wilde Weißeritz when rafting timber. It is in an absolutely idyllic and wonderful location, secluded in the middle of the forest and is a great place to take a break.
- Extensive renovation work will be carried out on the overflow this year. These will start in April and will probably last until fall 2026. The pond will remain empty for this period, after which the water will be dammed up again.
