Jedovnice is known for its ponds in their near and far surroundings. Currently, the following water areas are concerned: Olšovec, Budkovan, Dubový, Vrbový, Dymák. The time of their creation is not exactly known, but fishing has an old tradition in Jedovnice.
In the past, the ponds served as a cheap and the only source of energy to drive machines, but they were mainly used for fish farming. The Olšovec and Budkovan ponds have been owned by the village since 1931, and in 1967 the Olšovec pond was declared a recreational pond. Budkovan Pond was modified and instead of one pond three were named Budkovan, Vrbový and Dubový.
Since 2002, the ponds have been leased by Olšovec, s.r.o., which is also the operator of the camp of the same name. Olšovec Pond has become a popular place for rest and recreation. There are a number of huts and camps in the neighborhood. The number of visitors is growing, especially during nice summer months. There is a red marked hiking trail and cycling trails on the perimeter of the ponds.
