Two reservoirs for recreation, sport and fun. The gallows ponds consist of the large and the small gallows pond.
In the meantime, they have developed into the No. 1 local recreation area. The small gallows pond serves as a bathing lake with slides, a playground and tennis court as well as catering facilities. There is also a campsite for perfect relaxation.
The large gallows pond is a drinking water reservoir, and this 2nd gallows pond also serves as a pre-dam for the newly constructed 3rd gallows pond (barrage 3).
The gallows ponds probably got their names from the location of a gallows near the ponds.
