In the Forest Classroom, not only does teaching take place in the forest, but it also invites rest. Even in bad weather, one can still have a picnic in nature. The Forest Classroom is the starting point for hikes and tours on the forest education trail.
Since 2012, visitors to the Damscheid forest have been able to learn about the history of forestry and forest habitats. On an area of 7 hectares and along a distance of 1500 meters, forest visitors can experience the forest and its history at various stations. The Damscheid / Oberwesel forest educational trail was supported by many sponsors from the Middle Rhine region. The educational trail and the various stations were constructed by the citizens of Damscheid, who also maintain the forest educational trail with great commitment. The forest educational trail is accessible at any time.
