Gateway to prehistory

Visitors will immerse themselves in the world of fossils and prehistory when visiting the interactive outdoor exhibition. Here they can not only see but also feel detailed fossils such as a trilobite, a crytolebec or even a mammoth molar, which are cast in concrete. For children, there are climbing frames in the shape of a Tyrannosaurus head and a volcano, which are guaranteed to make their stay more enjoyable. In addition, they can test their archaeological skills by digging a dinosaur skeleton out of the sand. A life-size model of a Mesozoic shark then emerges in a nearby pond, which is sure to attract attention.

The indoor exhibit offers other fascinating experiences. Here, visitors find themselves under a pterosaur that hangs in mid-air and looks very impressive. There are also educational boards throughout the site that provide interesting information about prehistory and geology. The geological exhibition is complemented by features such as a large map of the eastern part of the Iron Mountain Geopark, which is made of stone and gives visitors an overview of the geographical characteristics of the area.
