Freizeitgebiet Contwig

The playground in the Contwig recreational area is a small gem of the community of Contwig. Free from dirt and grime, but with plenty of fine sand in the individual play zones that serves as fall protection. Two climbing walls with grips and a water pump are a welcome change for the little ones.

The magnet in the Contwig recreational area is the large water playground with two shell-shaped play islands. Here, children can play and experiment with water. The first play shell houses a splash area. Water is pumped via a hand pump into channels that lead to splash tables, which are arranged at varying heights. The flow of water can be easily redirected with sand.
In the second play shell, there is a water landscape with pumps, weirs, canals, stepping stones, and rock motifs. The water level can be regulated purely by muscle power using sluices. At the highest point, there is a "water or pole forest." By operating levers and pumps, nearby individuals are sprayed with different water jets. This provides a welcome cooling off, especially in the warm season, and fun for all age groups.

Additionally, the recreational area features a beautiful barbecue area, a tennis facility, and a kiosk.
