Numerous hiking trails wind through the picturesque surroundings and offer routes for every fitness level. In addition, visitors can relax in the water park with its “Salaërium” and enjoy the view from the Almschaukel observation platform.

With gentle beginner slopes, a black FIS downhill run, a children’s area on the Schwaig and in the valley, various ski tours, and direct access to the Wechsel Panorama Cross-Country Trail at the Mariensee summit station, the Mönichkirchen-Mariensee ski area—part of the Erlebnisalm Mönichkirchen—is a snow-guaranteed winter excursion destination in Lower Austria for the whole family.

The alpine inn spoils guests with regional and homemade specialties. The Mönichkirchner Schwaig mountain inn, the Alpengasthof Enzian, the Stoa Alm, and the Kulinaria restaurant at the valley station all offer cozy places to stop for a break with panoramic views of the mountains. The Erlebnisalm is open daily and easily accessible by both car and public transportation, so nothing stands in the way of a varied day trip.
