Auf die heilige Odilia geht die erste im Jahr 679 errichtete Ottilienkapelle zurück, neben der sich eine radonhaltige Quelle befand. Ihr wurde heilende Wirkung bei Augenleiden zugesprochen. Heute sprudelt sie aus einer Grotte im Untergeschoss der 1503 erbauten Kapelle. Direkt daneben lädt das Waldrestaurant mit einem Biergarten unter Kastanien zur Rast ein. Durch St. Ottilien führt übrigens der 48. Breitengrad hindurch.
