Direkt an der Straßenbrücke über die Talsperre Zeulenroda und gegenüber dem Vereinsheim des Zeulenrodaer Segelclubs befindet sich der Wanderparkplatz am Talsperrenweg Zeulenroda.

Vom Aussichtspunkt Stadammblick oder dem Bungalowdorf Zadelsdorf kommend, eröffnet sich am Wanderparkplatz Quingenberg ein weiter Blick über das Zeulenrodaer Meer. Von hier aus kann man sowohl kleinere Rundwanderungen am Wasser unternehmen, wie auch die 20 km lange Strecke um den Zeulenrodaer Stausee unter die Füße nehmen. Nach der Überquerung der Brücke kann man auf den Promenadenweg direkt am Seeufer wechseln, der das Strandbad Zeulenroda mit dem Bio-Seehotel verbindet.
