The "Mitteleiche" hikers' car park is located on the K17 - between Elmstein/Iggelbach and the B48.

Beautiful hiking tours can be undertaken from the Mitteleiche hikers' car park. The circular hiking trails 20 and 19 pass by here. The RW 20 also leads to the Schindhübelturm. From here you have a very good view over the Palatinate Forest.

Directions

Coming from Neustadt an der Weinstraße (A65): Exit Neustadt/Weinstr. Nord, then follow the B39 to Lambrecht (Pfalz). After Lambrecht (Pfalz) turn left into Elmsteiner Tal (Frankeneck). Stay on the L499 until Helmbach. There turn left onto the K51/K18 towards Hornesselwiese / Iggelbach. Follow the Kreisstraße 18 for approx. 3 km. Then turn slightly right and follow the K17 to Iggelbach. In Iggelbach, follow Dorfstraße until you reach the Johanniskreuz / Eschkopfstraße turn-off. Turn left and continue on the K17. After approx. 4 km you will reach the car park.

Coming from Kaiserslautern (A6): Take the Enkenbach-Alsenborn exit, then follow the signs to Fischbach/Bad Dürkheim. Follow the B48 until the turn-off to Bad Dürkheim. Follow the B48 in the direction of Hochspeyer. In Hochspeyer, follow the B48 towards Johanniskreuz. Stay on the B48 until the turn-off to Iggelbach / Elmstein. Follow the K17 to the hikers' car park.
