The "Hornesselwiese" hikers' car park is located on county road 18 - coming from country road 499 (Lambrecht(Pfalz) towards Elmstein)- onto county road 51 towards Helmbachweiher - then continue on county road 18 signposted Hornesselwiese. The restaurant of the same name is also located there.

Beautiful hiking tours can be undertaken from the Hornesselwiese hiking car park. Whether to the Helmbachweiher, the Kohlbachtal Nature Friendship House, the Stilles Tal Inn, or up to Iggelbach. There are many ways to explore the beautiful area.

Directions

Arrival by car:

Coming from Neustadt an der Weinstraße (A65): Exit Neustadt/Weinstr. Nord, then follow the B39 to Lambrecht (Pfalz). After Lambrecht (Pfalz) turn left into Elmsteiner Tal (Frankeneck). Stay on the L499 until shortly before Helmbach. There turn left towards Hornesselwiese (K51/K18). After approx. 1.3km, keep to the right and continue along the K18 to the hikers' car park.

Coming from Kaiserslautern (A6): Exit Enkenbach-Alsenborn, then direction Fischbach/Bad Dürkheim. Follow the B48 until the turn-off to Bad Dürkheim. Then continue on the B37 in the direction of Bad Dürkheim / Neustadt a. d. Weinstr., in Frankenstein follow the B39 until shortly before Lambrecht (Palatinate). Then turn right towards Frankeneck (Elmsteiner Tal). Stay on the L499 until shortly before Helmbach. There turn left towards Hornesselwiese (K51/K18). After approx. 1.3km, keep to the right and continue along the K18 to the hikers' car park.

Hallo Frau Zinsmeister, vielen Dank für ihren vielen, mühevollen Beträge zu Wanderparkplatzen. Eine wichtige Anmerkung hätte ich hier jedoch. Es wäre toll, wenn die Nutzung des Parkplatzes beschrieben werden würde. D.h. ob er nur für, alle KFZ, oder nur PKW oder auch für Wohnmobile bis 3,5T oder, oder. Dies wird immer durch das Zusatzschild unter dem blauen Parkschild angezeigt. Also vielen Dank und bis später Gruß Roberto und Christine

Wanderparkplätze sind normalerweise für PKW. Wohnmobile dürfen während der Zeit der Wanderung geparkt werden, aber nicht über Nacht. Denn wie sie sicherlich schon wissen, sind Wanderparkplätze keine Wohnmobilstellplätze. Hoffe ich konnte damit ihre Frage beantworten.
