The "Alte Schanze" hikers' car park is on the K16 - towards Wachenheim.
From the "Alte Schanze" hikers' car park, you can undertake very beautiful hiking tours. Hike a section of the Pfälzer Hüttensteig and stop off at the Waldhaus Lambertskreuz, then hike to the Drachenfels Fortress. From there you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Palatinate mountains. There are, of course, other tours from this car park.

Arrival by car:
Coming from Neustadt an der Weinstraße (A65): Take the Neustadt/Weinstr. Nord exit, then follow the B39 to the Neustadt an der Weinstraße exit. Follow the B39 until the turn-off for Lindenberg (Pfalz), Kurpfalzpark Wachenheim. Turn right at the junction. Follow the Kreisstraße 16 for approx. 3.5 km. The car park is on the right-hand side.
Coming from Kaiserslautern (A6): Take the Enkenbach-Alsenborn exit, then follow the signs to Fischbach/Bad Dürkheim. Follow the B48 until the turn-off to Bad Dürkheim. Then continue on the B37 towards Bad Dürkheim / Neustadt a. d. Weinstr., in Frankenstein follow the B39 until the turn-off for Lindenberg (Pfalz), Kurpfalzpark Wachenheim. Turn left at the junction and follow Kreisstraße 16 for approx. 3.5 km. The car park is on the right-hand side.
