Loreley-Skulptur

Even as a child, the artist was fascinated by the transformation of small, inconspicuous caterpillars into colorful butterflies, by their hidden beauty. In her work, butterflies and insects are joined by snuffling animals and other mythical creatures, and she also sets a monument to local myths, such as the Loreley. The river theme has played a major role since 1991, when the couple set up a "studio on the river" on the old city wall in Bacharach. Thus, the artist was increasingly concerned with the Rhine, its past and its myths. In addition to the Loreley, which has found its place on the banks of the Rhine, she designed a poetic bronze ensemble, the sculpture group "Heinrich Heine - Clemens Brentano - Victor Hugo", which has also found a place in the "Park of Poetry".
