The spa park with its linden alley was established around the year 1700.
On May 10, 1887, the later Emperor Friedrich III, in his capacity as Crown Prince, visited Braunfels and is said to have remarked on this occasion: "How can one have grown so old and not seen Braunfels!"
Today, the spa park offers the opportunity to stroll, participate in the annual summer concerts, or simply to relax and unwind.
The Herren Garden Braunfels – History, Nature, and Culture in Harmony
The idyllic Herren Garden in Braunfels represents far more than a classic park; it is a living cultural monument with a centuries-old history.
At the beginning of the 17th century, it was created as a terraced garden by Count Albrecht I of Solms and around 1830/1840 transformed into the style of an English landscape garden under Prince Wilhelm and Ferdinand of Solms Braunfels.
The garden is characterized by its impressive tree stock, which includes both native and exotic trees, as well as historical installations.
The Herren Garden is owned by the House of Solms-Braunfels but has been available to the city of Braunfels for spa and event operations since 1933.
Thus, it not only offers a green oasis in the heart of Braunfels but also an appealing backdrop for cultural events of various kinds.
The landscape garden, with its multiple terraces, invites visitors to experience nature, find peace, and actively engage with the historical atmosphere.
