The Mangrt Development Cooperative was founded in 1995 by 24 locals with the aim of accelerating the economic development of the Koritnica Valley. The cooperative has obtained a concession for traffic management on the Mangart Road, where in the summer it takes care of informing tourists, maintaining the road, keeping it clean and collecting the environmental tax from motor vehicles. It also operates a van and regularly cooperates with the local community and associations in various joint activities important for life and work in the valley.
