The Maribo Lakes Nature Park (Danish: Maribosøerne) delights with a varied landscape, flora and fauna, as well as with the cosy small town of Maribo.
There are lakes, forests, meadows and farmland. You can take a boat trip on „Anemone“ and enjoy the lively birdlife, not forgetting your binoculars. In the nature park you will find Denmark's loneliest lakes, breathtaking views, an exciting cultural history and great nature experiences.
The beautiful nature park can be experienced on foot, by bike or from the water side with turbo, kayak, canoe or pedal boats, which can be rented directly at the lake.
In Maribo you can visit the beautiful Maribo Cathedral, which also houses the tomb of the king's daughter Leonora Christina. Or you can follow in the footsteps of the famous poet Kaj Munk through the cosy market town and finish off with a visit to the beautiful baroque garden of the Søholt estate, which is inspired by French garden art and is one of the top 50 historic gardens in Denmark worth seeing.
