Sylt Marketing GmbH
The only inhabitants are sheep, seals and birds. Whether you start your excursion on the western shore of the wild North Sea or in the tranquillity of the Wadden Sea in the east is up to you.
Shaped by the elements of water and wind, the elbow is so wide and unspoilt that you lose all sense of time and space. However, swimming is not recommended, as the Wadden Sea and the open sea meet here, creating dangerous deep currents. The five-kilometre road to Ellenbogenspitze is privately owned, so a toll of €5 per car must be paid. In any case, the route is much more beautiful and free to cover on foot or by bike.
