The old oaks and beeches give this mystical place a unique character. In the twilight at sunrise and sunset, it is easy to imagine that this area could well be a Celtic sacrificial site - which explains the folk tradition of calling it "Heidenfels." The rock chambers and grottos, accessible via stairways and paths, are also impressive.
You can reach Heidenfels via the Ganerbenweg and circular route No. 1 from Lindemannsruhe.
