Museum zur Tabak- und Zigarrenkultur im Wynental. Einblicke in Anbau, Verarbeitung und Bedeutung des Tabaks in der Region. Eine eindrückliche Zeitreise in die über 500 Jahre alte Geschichte des Tabaks

Das Tabakmuseum in Menziken widmet sich der Geschichte des Tabakanbaus und der Zigarrenproduktion im Wynental, das lange als «Stumpenland» bekannt war. Die Ausstellung zeigt, wie stark der Tabak über Generationen hinweg Wirtschaft, Alltag und Landschaft der Region geprägt hat.

Zu sehen sind Maschinen, Werkzeuge und zahlreiche Objekte rund um die Herstellung von Zigarren und Stumpen. Ergänzt wird die Ausstellung durch Sammlungen von Verpackungen, Etiketten und Werbematerialien, die einen Einblick in die Entwicklung der Tabakindustrie geben.

Ein besonderer Fokus liegt auf den einzelnen Arbeitsschritten – vom Anbau der Tabakpflanzen bis zur Verarbeitung und zum fertigen Produkt. So wird die handwerkliche und industrielle Produktion anschaulich vermittelt.

Das Museum verbindet lokale Geschichte mit einem spezialisierten Thema und macht die Bedeutung des Tabaks für die Region AargauSüd auf verständliche Weise erlebbar.

Opening times

Das Tabakmuseum ist an fixierten Sonntagen von 10 – 12 Uhr geöffnet.

Während den Monaten Juli und August bleibt das Museum an den ersten Sonntagen im Monat geschlossen.

Führungen sind auf Anfrage möglich.

bis 15 Personen: CHF 100.-
16-25 Personen: CHF 120.-
26-35 Personen: CHF 150.-
ab 35 Personen: CHF 170.-

Apéro: zusätzlich CHF 50.-
