Im kleinen Stockmachermuseum wird Entwicklung dieses einmaligen Handwerkszweiges dokumentiert und der Werdegang eines traditionellen Stockes gezeigt. Im „Backhaus“, in der „Arbeitsstube“ und im „Stöckelager“ kann man sich unter dem Motto der vielseitig interpretierbaren Volksweisheit „Es ist der Stock, der manchem fehlt!“ über die Handwerksgeschichte und die 32 Arbeitsgänge informieren. Diese vielen Arbeitsgänge sind erforderlich, um aus einem Edelkastanien-Rohling ein sicheres und attraktives Wanderrequisit werden zu lassen. Historische Werkzeuge und Stöcke gehören ebenso zur Ausstellungskollektion wie die derzeit noch immer vorwiegend in Handarbeit produzierten Wander-, Spazier-, Kranken- und Jagdstöcke.
