Museum zur Schweizer Landtechnik mit historischen Motormähern. Einblick in die Entwicklung von 1926 bis heute und Landtechnik erleben.

Das Rapid Museum in Schöftland widmet sich der Geschichte der Schweizer Landtechnik und zeigt die Entwicklung der bekannten Rapid-Motormäher von ihren Anfängen bis in die Gegenwart. In einer umgebauten Scheune sind rund 80 Maschinen ausgestellt, die über Jahrzehnte hinweg gesammelt und originalgetreu restauriert wurden.

Die Ausstellung vermittelt anschaulich, wie sich die Landwirtschaft durch technische Innovationen verändert hat. Ein Rundgang führt durch verschiedene Stationen, darunter historische Geräte, Werkzeuge sowie eine alte Werkstatt mit Transmissionsantrieb. Ergänzt wird das Erlebnis durch einen Filmraum und geführte Besichtigungen, die Einblicke in die Entwicklung der Technik seit den 1920er-Jahren geben.

Besonders eindrücklich ist die persönliche Führung, bei der die Geschichte der Maschinen und ihrer Nutzung lebendig vermittelt wird.

Das Museum ist nur an ausgewählten Tagen geöffnet oder für Gruppen nach Anmeldung zugänglich und eignet sich für Technikinteressierte ebenso wie für Ausflüge mit historischem Bezug.

Mit der AAR (Aargau Verkehr) bis Haltestelle Schöftland Nordweg oder mit dem Postauto bis Holzikerstrasse. Von dort kurzer Fussweg zum Museum

Über die Autobahn A1, Ausfahrt Aarau West, Richtung Schöftland. Im Ort Richtung Holzikerstrasse 12 folgen; das Museum befindet sich in einem ehemaligen Scheunengebäude.
