The Pfahlbauten Unteruhldingen are the largest archaeological open-air museum in Germany with 23 reconstructed houses from the Stone and Bronze Ages. Year after year, more than 250,000 visitors are whisked away into the grueling world of Art Nouveau farmers, fishermen, as well as Bronze Age metal smelters and traders. In six sections of the village (4.000 - 850 BC), visitors learn exciting things about the culture of the past. In addition to the guided tours, the open-air museum offers hands-on programs during the holiday seasons.
