Al suo interno, sono esposti oggetti e pannelli illustrativi legati al rimpatrio, quando nel 1690, i mille valdesi rientrarono dopo gli anni di esilio.
Il piccolo museo fu allestito nei locali della scuola valdese dalla Società di Studi Valdesi e dalla Comunità Valdese di Massello nel 1939, in occasione del convegno annuale. Vi si ricorda uno dei periodi più significativi della storia dei Valdesi in Piemonte: gli anni del loro esilio in Svizzera ed in Germania a partire dall'anno 1687, il loro rientro in patria nel 1689 e la loro strenua resistenza alla Balziglia nell'inverno 1689-1690, terminata con la fuga avventurosa attraverso le balze del Pan di Zucchero verso la parte alta del vallone del Ghinivert nel maggio 1690.
