Seien Sie zu Gast in der Dauerausstellung zu Leben und Werk von Gotthold Ephraim Lessing in seiner Geburtsstadt. Stehen Sie ihm Auge in Auge in einer kleinen Galerie gegenüber. Lassen Sie sich auf dem Rundgang anhand zahlreicher Originalexponate ins 18. Jahrhundert versetzen und vollziehen Sie die wechselvolle Biografie dieses Mannes in ihrer privaten Tragik nach. Erfahren Sie, wie vielseitig Lessing war und warum er für die deutsche Aufklärung und das Theater nicht wegzudenken ist, und wie er sich für Wahrheitsstreben und Toleranz eingesetzt hat. Wenn Sie danach suchen, was Lessing auch heute zu sagen hat, im Lessing-Museum werden Sie fündig.

Das Lessinghaus bekommt eine umfassende Modernisierung und Erweiterung und unser Museum damit eine neue Perspektive. Dafür ist voraussichtlich bis Anfang 2027 geschlossen.
