The lime works' kiln IV is steeped in history - from the storage of Dresden art treasures at the end of the Second World War to their return from the Soviet Union to the GDR in the 1950s.
In the summer months of June and July, the quarry floor of the lime works is transformed into a blooming landscape. Thousands of wild orchids then unfold their flowering splendor. Catering facilities are located in the immediate vicinity of the museum.

ATTENTION:
Due to ongoing construction work, the museum will remain closed during regular opening hours until further notice. Visits can be arranged individually by prior arrangement by telephone on 037367-2274 or by e-mail to info@kalkwerk-lengefeld.de, depending on the construction work.
