A museum that traces the history of Resia Valley knife grinders through an extensive collection of photos, testimonies, and especially historical artifacts.
The knife-grinder's trade has been practiced since the 18th century by a great many men from the Resia valley and particularly from the hamlet of Stolvizza. First on foot, then by bicycle, Resian knife-grinders moved throughout much of eastern and southern Europe, opening workshops or practicing the trade on an itinerant basis.
In 2005 at the old schoolhouse in Stolvizza, the Monument to the Knife Grinder Association Committee set up the museum, which houses a vast collection of historical artifacts, photos and testimonies.
Even today, it is still possible to see the craftsmanship of these people at certain events, such as the Feast of the Knife Grinder, or in special projects.
