In Netro, a museum tells the story of ironworking along the Ingagna River, with tools, machinery and documents from the historic Rubino Workshops.
Rising in the heart of Netro, the ironworking museum recounts a long tradition rooted in the 16th century, when the first metallurgical workshops sprang up along the Ingagna stream. The exhibition documents the evolution of this activity through original tools, samples, machinery, technical manuals and industrial drawings, mostly from the famous Officine Rubino, protagonists of local industrial development. The objects on display also reflect the uses and needs of the territories to which the tools were destined, offering a glimpse into the agricultural and craft practices of different eras. The museum maintains an active dialogue with Mongrando's Fucina Morino, creating a network to enhance the industrial heritage and craft knowledge of the Biella region. A plunge into the industrious memory of a valley marked by iron and ingenuity.
This museum is part of the Biella Museum Network.
