The House of Folk Culture understands itself as a cross-border dialect institute and competence center for Burgenland folk culture and was opened in 2003. Managed by the Burgenländisch-Hianzische Society (Hianzenverein), the house additionally houses the Burgenland Folk Song Archive and the Oberschützen Museum Association.
