Het Groninger museum valt gelijk op als je van het station naar de stad loopt. Het gebouw heeft nogal een bijzondere architectuur.

Het gebouw is in 1994 geopend. De buitenkant ziet er heel modern uit, maar in het museum vind je toch echt collecties van de steentijd tot nu. Ook de binnenkant heeft een bijzondere architectuur. Dit museum is voor jong en oud aangezien er ook speciale activiteiten worden georganiseerd voor kinderen.
