Taucht ein in die Geschichte Gotlands und lernt die vielfältige Kultur aus Wikingerzeiten kennen.

Hinter den Mauern des Gotland Museum befinden sich unzählige Schätze. Es umfasst eine Sammlung an den wichtigsten Funden aus der Geschichte der Insel.

Die Dauerausstellung zeigt Stücke aus der Wikingerzeit bis zur aktuellen Geschichte – besonders bekannt und beeindruckend sind die Gotländischen Bildsteine aus der Eisenzeit, die uns Einblicke in das Leben der frühen Inselbewohner bieten.

Ein Highlight ist zudem der weltweit größte Silberschatz, der Spillingschatz.

In der Wechselausstellung wird zeitgenössische Kunst gezeigt.
