Before being relocated in this space, the school operated in the monastic cells of the Catholic monastery of San Martino in Pigadia of Chora. Today, the folklore collection is housed in this place.
It is a single building, also hosting the police station, which Kosmas Koroneos donated to the community. The adjacent square was named after him.
