Antigo tribunal judicial é um edifício característico do tempo de D. João V (séc. XVIII) com janelas de frontão e avental. Por cima da porta ostenta o mais antigo brasão de Lafões e ao cimo rasga-se um nicho do “sino das audiências”. Este imóvel insere-se numa zona que terá tido grande importância na formação da vila, em frente à Capela de S. Frei Gil, na atual Praça Conselheiro Morais de Carvalho.
