Diamantschleifermuseum, Brücken
The Brücken Diamond Cutting Museum documents the more than 100-year history of the diamond cutting industry in the municipality of Brücken and the surrounding villages. The Brücken Diamond Cutting Museum was inaugurated in 1998. 110 years after the first diamond cutting factory in the Ohmbach valley was established by Isidor Triefuß in 1888. The eventful history of this branch of industry in the Westrich is impressively and vividly documented by the museum and vividly conveyed to the visitor.
The museum vividly presents the working techniques of diamond cutting "sawing, grinding and polishing" from rough diamond to sparkling brilliant-cut diamond at fully functional workstations that are true to the original. Exhibits, picture panels and film presentations demonstrate to visitors the eventful history of diamond cutting in Brücken and the surrounding area.
