Im Museum Kirche zum Heiligen Kreuz ist das Große Zittauer Fastentuch von 1472 in der größten Museumsvitrine der Welt ausgestellt.

Die mehr als 600 Jahre alte Begräbniskirche bietet mit ihrer kostbaren frühbarocken Ausstattung, den zahlreichen Grablegen und Epitaphen sowie dem musealen Friedhof zudem ein einzigartiges Zeugnis bürgerlich-städtischer Sepulkralkultur.
