Kleine Scheidegg is not remote, but it certainly is gorgeous, with awe-inspiring views up to the Eiger's incredible North Face, as well as great views across the Grindelwald valley, and to the Mönch and Jungfrau mountains to the west. There is a train station here, with trains coming up from Grindelwald and from Wengen, then heading up to Eigergletscher and Jungfraujoch. There are a couple of hotels, restaurants, and always many hikers and tourists.
There are also many great hiking trails from there, leading off the Männlichen, to Alpiglen, to Biglenalp and more. Step away from the busy hub and you'll find yourself in one of the most incredible mountain environments anywhere.
