Das Zimmerhaus und die Hüttenschule sind durch einen Zwischenbau verbunden. Das rechtwinklig angelegte, ziegelgedeckte Satteldach des Zwischenbaus, verbindet das Satteldach des Zimmerhauses und das Walmdach der Schule in gleicher Trauf- und Firsthöhe. Die Dächer weisen verschiedene Dachaufbauten, wie Schleppgaupen und Fledermausgaupen, auf. Sowohl das Zimmerhaus mit Fleischbank als auch die angrenzende Schule wurden um 1612 errichtet. Der ältere Bauteil wurde 1537 als Stallhaus errichtet und später als Wohnhaus des Lehrers und somit gleichzeitig als Schule genutzt. Am Gebäude befindet sich eine Jahrestafel von 1627. 1873 erfolgte ein Umbau des Erdgeschosses der alten Zimmerei zum Wagenschuppen. Im Erdgeschoss des Zimmerhauses im südlichen Bereich hatte der Fleischhauer der Saigerhütte sein Domizil.
