Feldkreuze wurden am Ortsausgang in allen vier Himmelsrichtungen errichtet. Sie dienten bewusst als Ort des Glaubens im Weinberg.
In diesem Zusammenhang findet noch bis heute, alljährlich im Mai, eine Bittprozession statt. Hierbei bitten wir um Verschonung der Weinberge vor Unwetter.
Das Weiße Kreuz trägt die Inschrift:
„Das Kreuz ist errichtet und gestiftet von den frommen Eheleuten Kaspar Schneider und seiner Hausfrau (Ehefrau) Katharina. Vorübergehender gedenke diesen in Frieden.“
Field crosses were erected at the end of the village in all four directions. They deliberately served as a place of faith in the vineyard.
In this context, a procession of supplication still takes place every year in May. Here we ask for the vineyards to be spared from bad weather.
The White Cross bears the inscription:
"The cross was erected and donated by the pious couple Kaspar Schneider and his wife Katharina. Passers-by remember them in peace."
