The Stonehaven War Memorial stands prominently atop Black Hill, overlooking the town of Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Completed in 1923, it was designed by local architect John Ellis as a tribute to the local men and women who lost their lives during the First and Second World Wars.
Situated on Black Hill, the memorial offers panoramic views of Stonehaven, the North Sea, and the surrounding countryside. It is accessible via a path from the coastal road between Stonehaven and Dunnottar Castle, making it a popular spot for both reflection and sightseeing.
In May 2023, a rededication ceremony was held to mark the centenary of the memorial, reaffirming its significance to the community and honouring the memory of those who served.
