This shrine was constructed in 1958 in memory of the 1951 avalanche catastrophe. The shrine in Eisten is dedicated to Saint Rita. Saint Rita is invoked as a Holy Helper in lost causes and in relation to examination grades. She is commemorated on 22nd May.
