Besuchen Sie den Gründungsort der Schweizer Eidgenossenschaft, das Rütli bzw. die Rütliwiese. Geniessen Sie dabei bei einem Picknick die Aussicht.

«Wir wollen sein ein einzig Volk von Brüdern, in keiner Not uns trennen und Gefahr.» So beginnt Friedrich Schiller 1804 in seinem Drama «Wilhelm Tell» den Rütlischwur. Dort auf dem Rütli sollen 1291 Vertreter der Urkantone Uri, Schwyz und Unterwalden den Rütlibund geschworen haben, welcher das gemeinsame Vorgehen gegen die fremden Vögte in ihren Tälern festlegte. Die Rütliwiese wird heute oft als «Wiege der Schweiz» oder als Gründungsstätte der Schweiz bezeichnet und ist national von grosser Bedeutung. Ein Besuch wert ist der geschichtsträchtige Ort aber nicht nur wegen seiner Vergangenheit: Noch heute können Sie auf dem Rütli viel erleben, die Umgebung erkunden oder einfach Ihre Seele baumeln lassen.
