Die römische Badruine von Hüfingen gilt als eines der ältesten Kastellbäder nördlich der Alpen. Der Schutzbau der Badruine aus dem frühen 19. Jahrhundert ist selbst ein Monument des Denkmalschutzes. Das Römische Reich hat an vielen Stellen in Deutschland seine Spuren hinterlassen.
Fernab von Handys und teuren Autos begehen Sie sich auf die Reise zu der Zeit 70 Jahre nach Christus und erleben hautnah, wie die Römer damals gelebt haben. Bei einem Rundgang in der römischen Badruine kann man die Geschichte der antiken Badekultur erleben, mit historischem Hintergrund - und doch faszinierend und interessant verpackt.
Heute zeugt hiervon das inzwischen aufwändig restaurierte Römerbad. Ursprünglich wurde es für die Soldaten erbaut, die den Limes besetzten.
In der Römischen Badruine werden archäologische und handlungsorientierte Führungen durch Elke Menner für (Schul-) Gruppen, sowie Kostümführungen durch Martina Schulz angeboten. Machen Sie eine Zeitreise zu den alten Römern! Im Römerpavillion gegenüber können Sie bei einer Tasse Kaffee den Informationsfilm „so lebten die Römer damals“ anschauen oder sich eine kleine Erinnerung aus dem Römershop kaufen.
