Die römischen Meilensteine standen hauptsächlich an markanten topographischen Punkten wie Brücken oder Straßenkreuzungen. Hier in Pfünz kreuzten sich die Römerstraßen Weißenburg – Kösching und Nassenfels – Böhming.
