It is a memorial to the local favorite teacher František Bašný

It is a memorial to the local favorite teacher František Bašný, who used to like to go for walks and get inspired for his poetry in these forests.

František Bašný was born in 1859 in Lešany near Prostějov and for 30 years he taught in Kohoutovice in Brno, his only place of work, where he also died in 1910. He is buried in the cemetery in nearby Zebetin.
