Mine forge Abraham shaft

Located immediately north of the shaft, the building houses a number of twelve forges and therefor accounts for the largest of its kind in the mining district of Freiberg. It was erected in 1834. The ground floor is made of gneiss slabs and holds closely arranged windows that are comparatively large in size and number. All door and window posts are made of sandstone. The unsymmetrically arranged door at the southwestern side contains a separate closing. The high reaching and tiled half-hipped roof excels in its stacked and strung-out dormers at both panes of the roof. The construction style of two chimneys at the gables of the building only occurs at this mine forge. The flue tubes have each been set into the pillars between the windows. Braced by console plates they follow up to the central part of the gable and merge into the chimney at the level of the attic storey.
