Der heilige Martin ist Schutzpatron und Namensgeber unserer Kirche und unseres Dorfes St. Martin.
Er thront als Figur des heiligen Bischof von Tours über den Dächern des Ortskerns. Somit bringt er stets die von ihm vermittelten Werte in Erinnerung: Den Nächsten hilfsbereit zu sein und womöglich auch zu teilen. Dies nicht nur in Form von Hab und Gut, sondern auch in Form von Gedanken, Ideen und Meinungen.
Am 11. November wird der heilige Martin im Ort gefeiert - beginnend mit einem festlichen Hochamt in der Kirche.
