Im Rahmen dessen setzte sich der Pfarrkirchenrat mit dem Gedanken auseinander, den Plat z zwischen Pfarrhof und Kirche einladender zu gestalten.
Daraus entstand die Idee für einen Brunnen mit einer Marienstatue.
Bildhauer Klaus MORODER machte sodann mehrere Ent würfe. Schlussendlich ent schloss man sich für diese Mut ter mit Kind.
Nach Anfert igung des Schnitz werkes- ebenfalls durch Klaus MORODER, das nun in der Taufkapelle seinen Platz gefun den hat, wurde diese in Telfs in Bronze gegossen.
Die Kosten für die Brunnen anlage übernahm die damalige Marktgemeinde.
Im Rahmen eines Pfarrf estes (Rupertimarkt) wurde der Marienbrunnen am 11. Septem ber 1993 von Dechant Josef RANINGER eingeweiht.
