Die bedeutendste Gründerzeitvilla in Lohne wurde 1906 als Arztpraxis und Wohnhaus vom Arzt Dr. Franz Uptmoor erbaut. Seitdem wenige äußere Veränderungen. Die Malerin Luzie Uptmoor hat hier ihre Jugendjahre verbracht.

1990 erwarb die Stadt das Gebäude und renovierte es umfassend. Heute beherbergt es ein Restaurant sowie Seminar- und Wohnräume.
