É uma construção do séc. XVI, mandada construir por D. Luís filho, de D. Manuel I, por esse motivo, ostenta um brasão com as armas do Infante. No entanto, este fontanário está um pouco desvirtuado devido a obras realizadas posteriormente. Diz a lenda que esta fonte é um verdadeiro cupido, por isso, quem beber da sua água vai apaixonar-se por alguém de Vouzela e aqui casará.
